We Need a Democratic Sweep in 2016

Kevin McCarthy is an awful Majority Leader, but at least he was honest. He admitted the Benghazi Committee existed to politically weaken Hillary Clinton’s campaign for President. That admission killed him. He also refused to promise to stop primaries against conservatives, according to the “Freedom Caucus” members. McCarthy was terrible at his job, but he at least was able to keep the lights on in the House. He wasn’t in favor of shutting down the government over Planned Parenthood. He’s terrible, but he was preferable to the alternatives.

The GOP is damn near a split, and really can’t be trusted with any kind of control of government. Next year we will have a race for President, and they have candidates like Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Carly Fiorina who aren’t qualified to do the job, but are leading their primary right now. In other words, the Republicans want to put forward a nation where the Tea Party controls the Speaker, an unqualified ignoramus runs the White House, and the ineffective McConnell Senate.

For this reason, Democrats need to win next year- and win everything. It’s time to kick that Republican Congressman who “seems reasonable” out, as he’s part of the problem. It’s time to boot Pat Toomey from the Senate, and other “reasonable” Republicans in other states. Republicans have internal issues to fix before they can even be an acceptable party.

So, America needs a President Clinton, Speaker Pelosi, and Majority Leader Schumer after the next election.
