Temple Football Season Prediction

Last year the Temple Owls went 6-6, and really had a shot to be even better, but lost a few tough games along the way. This season they play an ambitious schedule that features home games against both Penn State and Notre Dame outside of their conference. They finally have good recruits, a committed coach, and momentum with them going into today’s opener. Is it enough to break a losing streak to the Nittany Lions of over 40 games? I don’t know. The season is a lot more than one game though.

Temple starts out with a brutal schedule, but it gets easier as they go. Penn State and Notre Dame are very tough games for the Owls, but the key games will be Cincinnati, UCF and USF, SMU, and ECU, the teams that have stood out in the AAC in recent years. Temple returns a very, very good defense, their top receiver from two years ago, and a really good group of young running backs. Cincinnati is probably the favorite to win the division, so the first two games are a brutal start, but I think Temple goes 8-4 and gets to a bowl game in 2015-2016.
