No, Everything Doesn’t Happen For a Reason

unnamed

I hate cliches. The world does not run by cliche. I hate the cliche “everything happens for a reason” the most though. It sort of supposes that events in life are somehow random, and not caused by some form of action, even if it wasn’t intended to cause any repercussions. That is false. If your relationship goes south with your lover, that is not random. If someone you owe money sends some goon to collect your money, that is not random. If you lose 25 pounds because you started eating right, that is not random. In short, nothing is truly random- even if the result isn’t what you intended.

In short, I just had to rant about this, because it annoys me.
